Ensure all prerequisite requirements are met before following this guide. Story Mention Auto-Reply on LinkDM allows you to automate direct messages (DMs) to users who mention you in their Instagram stories.

Step-by-Step Guide

Log In: Log in to your LinkDM account.
Navigate to Automations: Once logged in, navigate to the Automations menu.
Select Story Mention Auto-Reply: In the Automations menu, select [Story Mention Auto-Reply].
Compose the DM: Compose the DM that you would like to be sent automatically to users who mention you in their Instagram stories. You can use either the button template or the message template style.
Button Template: Allows you to enter up to three URLs, each with their own button, along with one image and a headline. You can also replace the image that is automatically loaded from the metadata.
Message Template: Sends a standard text-only DM, which can contain multiple links and up to 1,000 characters. However, with the message template, you won't be able to track key metrics such as open rate and total clicks.
Set Triggers: Define the triggers for the Story Mention Auto-Reply. For example, you can set the trigger to send the DM when a user mentions you in their story.
Adjust Settings:
Add a Delay: You can add a delay when sending the auto-reply, with intervals between 1 minute to 30 minutes.
Limit Frequency: You can set the DM to only be sent once per specified period, which ranges between 24 hours to 6 months, and then only once. This is useful when a brand/creator might be tagged in multiple stories often and they don't want the user to always receive a DM from them.
Save: Click 'Save' once you have finished composing your DM, setting the triggers, and adjusting the settings. Your Story Mention Auto-Reply will be saved and effective immediately.
