DM Planner [BETA]

DM Planner lets you create AutoDMs in advance and link them to scheduled or upcoming posts, so your messages are ready to send the moment your content goes live—whether it’s manually posted or published through a scheduling tool.

What it does

Creators often schedule Instagram and Facebook posts using third-party tools, but Meta doesn’t give developers like LinkDM the ability to see scheduled content. DM Planner solves this by letting you create DM drafts in advance and attach them to future content using a simple code in your caption.

How it works

Go to Automations > DM Planner
(Currently in BETA and available to LinkDM Pro users only)
Create a new Draft
- Write the DM to send
- Add optional tags to organize your drafts
- Choose trigger keywords
- Enable additional settings like Comment Auto-Reply and Flow Automation
Add the generated Draft Code
- Each draft gets a unique code like: LinkDM *315*
- Add this code to the bottom of your post caption
Post goes live
- When your content is published, LinkDM automatically detects the code and links the draft to the post
- Your DM automation activates instantly and works for the first comment
Manage Published Drafts
- Linked drafts move to your Published Drafts tab
- View the assigned post, time it was applied, and direct IG/FB post link

FAQs

Can I reuse the same Draft Code for multiple posts?

No. Each Draft Code is one-time use only.

What if I forget to add the Draft Code to the caption?

You can setup the AutoDM as you normally would via the dashboard. Manual linking of a draft to published content will be available in an upcoming update.

Does this work for content posted from the Instagram app?

Yes, DM Planner works for both scheduled posts and content posted manually from the app.

Can I edit a draft after it’s been linked?

Once the draft is linked to a publushed post you can edit the AutoDM as you normally would by clicking the (Active) button in the list of posts on the dashboard.
