Using Paid Partnership on Instagram with LinkDM

In this article we will address a specific scenario concerning the use of Instagram’s Paid Partnership feature in conjunction with LinkDM’s automation services. When you tag a post as a Paid Partnership on Instagram, you may allow the partnered brand to run ads based on your content. It’s important to note that if a comment is made through the ad version of the post (not organically on the post itself), LinkDM’s automation features, like sending automated DMs in response to comments, won't be activated for those comments. This limitation stems from Meta's (Instagram's parent company) restrictions, preventing us from accessing comments made on the ad versions of the posts.

If encountering this limitation poses an inconvenience, you have the control to manage it. Within the Paid Partnership settings on Instagram, there is a toggle that allows you to disable the option for brands to run ads on your post. By turning this feature off, you can ensure that all engagement happens directly on your post, thereby enabling LinkDM’s automation features to function seamlessly with every comment received.
