What is the Custom DM?

The Custom DM in Flow Automation allows you to schedule personalized messages at specific time intervals within Meta’s 24-hour engagement window. This feature helps keep users engaged and increases conversions by delivering relevant follow-up messages.

How It Works

After a user clicks the Starter DM, the Custom DM will be sent based on the scheduled delay.
You can set up multiple Custom DMs in a single Flow sequence.
Custom DMs can be sent at any time between 1 minute and 24 hours after the Starter DM.

How to Set Up a Custom DM

Go to Flow Automation under the Automations menu.
Set up a Starter DM to initiate the 24-hour engagement window.
Click Add Flow and select Custom DM.
Compose your message and set the delay.
Save and enable Flow Automation in your post settings.

Important Notes

You can add up to 8 Custom DMs in a single Flow sequence.
Each Custom DM must be scheduled at a unique time.
If a user engages with another post with Flow Automation, the sequence will restart, including Custom DM timings.

If the user comments on another post with Flow Automation enabled, the new Flow will override the previous one, restarting the sequence.
