What is the Reminder DM?

The Reminder DM is a Flow Automation feature that allows you to automatically follow up with users who interacted with your Starter DM but did not take action, such as clicking a link. This helps increase engagement and conversions by reminding users to check out your content.

How It Works

After a user clicks the Starter DM button, they receive the requested DM.
The Reminder DM checks whether the user clicked the link in that message.
If they did click, the Reminder DM will not be sent.

How to Set Up a Reminder DM

Go to Flow Automation under the Automations menu.
Set up a Starter DM to initiate the 24-hour engagement window.
Click Add Flow and select Reminder DM.
Customize the message and set the delay (between 5 minutes and 23 hours).
Save and enable Flow Automation in your post settings.

Important Notes

The Reminder DM can only be set up once per Flow sequence.
You can only schedule the Reminder DM between 5 minutes and 24 hours after the Starter DM.
If a user engages with another post with Flow Automation, the sequence will restart, including any Reminder DM settings.

What happens if the user clicks the link before the Reminder DM is sent?

If the user clicks the link before the scheduled Reminder DM, the reminder will be skipped and will not be sent.

Can I set multiple Reminder DMs in one Flow?

Yes, you can setup multiple Reminder DM per Flow sequence.

Can I schedule the Reminder DM for any time I want?

You can schedule the Reminder DM at any time between 5 minutes and 24 hours after the Starter DM is clicked.

How can I track the performance of my Reminder DMs?

On the Flow table, you can see key metrics like Sent, Open, Click, CTR, and how many users received the Reminder DM.
